Frequently Asked Questions about the Store

General Shipping Questions

Do I need to create an account to shop?

Not at all! You can purchase any of our merchandise without creating an account in our store. However, it might be easier if you plan to make several purchases to sign up for an account, as it will save your information, and save you time in the future.

What is your return policy?

Undamaged cards and t-shirts will be refunded at no charge.

Unfortunately, we can’t sell or use honey that has been returned, so there aren’t many cases for which we’ll refund you for it. But, if there’s a big problem or you made a huge oops, email us at tomsbeelovedhoney /at/ gmail.com and we’ll see what we can do!

Will you ship using a carrier besides USPS?

We prefer shipping with the United States Postal Service because we have an account with them, a local branch five minutes away from the house, and an almost giddy love of the Post Office. That said, if you don’t think USPS fits your needs, please select “phone ordering” as your method of payment and we’ll get in touch with you, or email us before you place an order at tomsbeelovedhoney /at/ gmail.com.

Will you refund my shipping if I overpay?

Great question! Kind of. If our system miscalculates shipping by more than $0.50 we will refund it unless you tell us otherwise.

When will my order ship?

We’ll ship your order within two business days. If we’re out of town or otherwise unable to make shipments, we’ll close the store.

Can I buy your products anywhere besides the internet?

Yes you can! Our products are available for purchase at Corey Lake Orchards in Three Rivers, Michigan.

I would like to stock your products in my store. How can I do that?

Contact us! We’re easily reached by email at tomsbeelovedhoney /at/ gmail.com, and will gladly talk with anyone interested in stocking our products. But please do keep in mind our charitable purpose when you send a note our way.

Questions about Honey

Is your honey raw?

Yes! We don’t heat or treat our honey. Soon, we hope to have an interactive demonstration up to show exactly how we process our honey, which is as minimally as possible: we uncap the frames, we spin the honey out with a special hand-cranked centrifuge, we put it through mesh screen filters, and pour it into bottles for you to enjoy.

I ordered two bottles of honey and they’re two different colors. Why?

Our honey comes in a variety of colors because of the variety of flowers from which our bees gather honey. Since we don’t process our honey at all and only process it in small batches, its natural colors and variations are preserved.

Do you sell honeycomb?

Unfortunately, we don’t, nor do we plan to in the future. Sorry!

Does your honey go bad?

Our pure, delicious honey won’t go bad, nor does any good honey when properly handled. However, over time, our honey may crystallize in the bottle. To reverse this natural process, simply place your honey jar in a pot of warm/hot (but not boiling) water and stir for several minutes. (Or store it in your hot car in the summer sunshine, as Becca has cleverly discovered.)

Questions about Cards

Are there messages or images printed inside your cards?

Nope! Inside every one of our cards is a completely blank, clean slate for you to write whatever you want.

Will you personalize your designs? Can you make custom designs?

Yes we can, and we’d love to. Email us for a quote: tomsbeelovedhoney /at/ gmail.com.

Can I order posters or postcards of any of your designs?

Yes you can, but keep in mind specialty items are generally a bit more expensive. Email us for a quote: tomsbeelovedhoney /at/ gmail.com.

I have a good idea for a card! Whom should I tell?

Us! We’re happy to listen, and if we agree it would make a great card, we’ll make it and share design credit with you. Email us at tomsbeelovedhoney /at/ gmail.com.
